Job summary

X-Ray Associates of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner for our Breast Health and Imaging Center. You will perform patient consultations focused on breast health and genetics, working with a team including medical assistants, schedulers, breast imagers, and a nurse navigator.

You will work with high-risk patients to document family histories, perform genetic health assessments, order appropriate genetic tests and radiologic imaging, provide counseling on

Qualifications

• Current New Mexico Nurse Practitioner License is required.
• PECOS certification required.
• Genetic testing and counseling experience preferred; AGN-BC Genetics strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document detailed family histories and pedigrees.
• Perform genomic focused health assessments.
• Develop plans of care and order genetic testing and imaging.
• Provide counseling on genetic risk for breast cancer.
• Educate patients and families on high-risk genomic factors related to breast health.

Nurse Practitioner – Genetics

Join an exceptional Radiologist owned organization with more than 75 years in the New Mexico Medical Community. X-Ray Associates of New Mexico is hiring a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner for our busy Breast Health and Imaging Center located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You will make a positive difference in the patient experience and quality of care by performing patient consultations with a focus on breast health and genetic studies, while working with a dedicated team including medical assistants, schedulers, breast imagers, and a dedicated nurse navigator. In this position, you will work directly with high risk patients to:

• Document detailed family histories, including pedigrees
• Perform genomic focused health assessments
• Develop plans of care, order appropriate genetic testing and radiological imaging, initiate health care interventions and make appropriate referrals
• Provide counseling to individuals and families about genetic risk for breast cancer
• Provide health education to patients and families influenced by high risk genomic factors related to breast health

Requirements:

• Current New Mexico Nurse Practitioner License
• PECOS Certification
• Experience in Genetic testing and counseling
• AGN-BC Certification in Genetics strongly preferred
