Job summary

PsychoGeriatric Services (PGS) is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to deliver psychiatric care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care settings in Richmond, VA. You will work autonomously with support from a clinical and administrative team.

This full-time role offers a flexible schedule during core business hours, no nights or on-call, and a strong focus on compassionate, patient-centered care. State NP licensure and a current DEA license are required.

Qualifications

State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (VA/MD/DC/PA applicable).
Active DEA license.
Monday–Friday availability during normal business hours.
Ability to stand for 20 minutes and lift up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site psychiatric assessments and medication management
Coordinate care and consult with facility teams (Administrator, Director of Nursing, Social Services)
Adhere to state and federal clinical guidelines and PGS protocols
Educate staff and support holistic, patient-centered care
Maintain clear, timely documentation
