Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a certified NP to provide primary care in an employer-based setting, with independent practice in internal medicine or family medicine and DEA prescriptive authority. You will perform primary care and episodic care, coordinate with HR and wellness programs, and support chronic disease management with a patient-centric approach.

This role requires an active license, 3+ years of experience, EHR proficiency, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certified NP program.
• Active and unrestricted NP license required in respective state.
• Minimum of 3+ years NP experience in internal medicine or family practice.
• Ability to practice independently with state DEA licensure and prescriptive authority.
• Electronic Health Record experience.
• BLS certification.
• Bonus points for Chronic Disease Management experience.
• Passionate about health, wellness and patient education.
• High energy and customer-centric focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Primary Care treatment in an Employer-based setting.
• Deliver episodic care (low acuity Urgent Care).
• Oversee extended episodic acute care (4–5 visits as needed).
• Educate and co-manage chronic conditions with primary care providers.
• Oversee CLIA-waived tests, dispense Rx medications, and supervise a specimen lab.
• Collaborate with onsite HR/Benefits and health team for biometric screening and education.
• Potential for Travel Medicine immunizations as trained.
• Provide one-on-one health coaching and refer patients to wellness programs.
• Partner with health care team members (MA, LPN) to support patients.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills with internal/external customers.
