Job summary

John Muir Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner to evaluate and treat patients under the direction of a Supervising Physician. The NP will perform physical diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and document care in the medical record within a collaborative practice.

The ideal candidate holds MSN or DNP, CA RN and NP licenses, and 2+ years of healthcare experience; BLS is required, ACLS/ATLS preferred depending on specialty. This role emphasizes patient education and preventive care.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP from an accredited NP program is required.
• California RN license is required and NP license is required in CA.
• Furnishing NP license under CA BRN is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/ATLS preferred depending on surgical specialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluation and treatment of patients under Supervising Physician.
• Document care and maintain medical records accurately.
• Provide health maintenance information and counseling to patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and other providers in a team-based setting.
• Do not perform invasive procedures or assist in surgery.
