Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program.
• Current NP license in California (or eligible).
• FNP or AGNP certification preferred; Dermatology certification desirable.
• Dermatology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dermatological assessments and evaluations, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, and cancers.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
• Perform minor dermatological procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments (e.g., Botox, fillers).
• Provide patient education on skin care, prevention, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with dermatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Stay current with dermatology advances and pursue CE and training.
• Participate in quality improvement and departmental activities.

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, conduct comprehensive assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with various skin conditions. The role requires a strong foundation in dermatological practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dermatological assessments and evaluations, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of skin conditions, including but not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and skin cancers.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending therapies.
• Perform minor dermatological procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments (e.g., Botox, fillers).
• Provide patient education on skin care practices, preventive measures, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with dermatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Stay current with advancements in dermatology and participate in relevant continuous education and training opportunities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction surveys, and departmental meetings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in California (or eligible).
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) preferred; Dermatology certification desirable.
• Previous experience in dermatology or a similar clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Proficient in dermatological assessment, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
