Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our pediatric team. You will support medically fragile children, collaborate with physicians and therapists, and provide comprehensive assessments, care plans, and family communication.

This role emphasizes top-of-license practice, critical thinking, and ongoing care impact within a supportive leadership structure and specialized pediatric environment.

Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted CRNP licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited NP program.
  • Current national NP certification from an approved body.
  • Prescriptive authority to prescribe under PA regulations.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to work both independently and with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience with pediatric complex care is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive and focused physical assessments.
  • Evaluate changes in residents' clinical conditions and determine interventions.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions within scope.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing.
  • Prescribe medications per licensure and protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapies, and care team.
  • Communicate with families regarding status and plans of care.
  • Participate in care planning, rounds, and quality initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Provide guidance to nursing staff.
  • Respond to changes in condition and complex situations.

Responsibilities
As a Nurse Practitioner at PSC, you will play an essential role in the ongoing assessment, treatment, and management of children with complex medical needs.
Responsibilities Include
  • Perform comprehensive and focused physical assessments
  • Evaluate changes in residents' clinical conditions and determine appropriate interventions
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions within the scope of practice
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
  • Order, review, and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory testing
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with licensure and facility protocols
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • Communicate effectively with residents' families and caregivers regarding clinical status and plans of care
  • Participate in care planning, clinical rounds, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff as appropriate
  • Respond effectively to changes in condition and other complex clinical situations
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) - Pediatrics;
What You Bring:
  • Current and unrestricted Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) licensure in Pennsylvania
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
  • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current national Nurse Practitioner certification through an approved certifying organization
  • Current prescriptive authority and ability to prescribe within the scope of Pennsylvania regulations
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical‑thinking, and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully complete all required background checks, health screening, clearances, and other regulatory compliance requirements
  • Pediatric, complex‑care, long‑term care, acute‑care, or medically fragile patient experience is strongly preferred.
