Job summary

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) seeks a Nurse Practitioner, CF for North Kern State Prison in Delano, CA. This part-time position works 20 hours per week and offers a monthly salary range of $6,521.50 to $7,372.50.

Under supervision of the Chief Physician and Surgeon, CF, the NP, CF conducts physical exams, performs procedures, interprets labs and imaging, and counsels patients on physical and mental health. Occasional call duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• The NP, CF assesses and manages the health care needs of patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and specialized clinical settings.
• Performs physical examinations and therapeutic procedures; interprets routine laboratory and imaging results.
• Educates and counsels patients regarding matters pertaining to their physical and mental health.
