Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an inpatient Nurse Practitioner specialized in Cardiology for a 13-week locum position in Virginia. The NP will manage new patients, conduct follow-ups, perform rounding and discharge planning, and coordinate care.

EPIC is the EMR; call coverage is required with 1:3 or 1:4, averaging two hours of callbacks daily. Adult and geriatric patient population with 10–15 patients per day.

Qualifications

• Greater than 2 years in Cardiology or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage new patients and follow-up visits.
• Rounding, documentation, discharge planning, and coordination of care.
• Call coverage with a ratio of 1:3 or 1:4; average 2 hours of callbacks.
• See adults and geriatric patients; 10–15 patients per day depending on hospital volume.
• Work with Interventional Cardiologist; EPIC EMR used.

Description:This is a locum position for an inpatient Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology.The position is Monday through Friday.The Nurse Practitioner will manage new patients, follow-up visits, rounding, documentation, discharge planning, and coordination of care.Call coverage is required, with a ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 and an average of 2 hours of callbacks.The patient population is adults and geriatric patients, with an average of 10-15 patients per day based on hospital volume.The electronic medical record system utilized is EPIC.Candidates must be willing to work independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist.No leadership position or teaching responsibilities are required in this role.Credentialing is estimated to be completed as soon as possible.Travel reimbursements for airfare, lodging, and mileage at the IRS rate are approved.A clean background and no malpractice or license issues are non-negotiable requirements.
