Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn seeks a Nurse Practitioner in BMT at the Brooklyn Ambulatory Care Center to provide, coordinate, and assure comprehensive nursing care using nursing processes and standards of care, under a physician collaboration.

Minimum qualifications include NYS licensure as an RN and NP, a Master’s in Nursing, and ANCC or equivalent certification, with BLS certification required. Preferred credentials include ACLS/PALS or NRP and several years of nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current NYS Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner registrations.
• Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Certification: ANCC certification or Board Certification in a clinical NP area.
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's service standards.
• Monitors cost effectiveness and performance indicators.
• Assists in planning, implementation, and evaluation of research protocols.
• Collaborates with nursing and other disciplines on clinical studies.
• Uses evidence-based literature to guide practice changes.
• Participates in patient outcomes monitoring per protocols for quality improvement.
• Acts as a resource for education of peers and health professionals.
• Maintains current expertise and supports professional growth.
• Delivers culturally competent care considering patient age and cultural groups.
• Evaluates treatment plans per protocols and adjusts as needed.
• Works with medical staff to ensure continuity of care across settings.
• Provides consultation on therapeutic regimens to nursing staff.
