Job summary

Wareham Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Massachusetts seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver advanced nursing care within a multidisciplinary outpatient MAT program. You’ll perform comprehensive evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medications as allowed by state regulations under supervision.

You’ll partner with Medical Director and Nurse Supervisor to optimize patient outcomes and ensure high standards of care in a compassionate, recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing nurse practitioner preferred.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings preferred (outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities).
• Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
• Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission).
• No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment

Responsibilities

• Provides initial and annual history and physical evaluations, assesses eligibility for treatment, evaluates history of opioid dependence.
• Orders appropriate laboratory studies and reviews results, provides education and follow-up services.
• Monitors treatment plans for high-risk patients and prescribes MAT as allowed by state regulation.
• Collaborates with Medical Director to plan and implement care per Nurse Practitioner Guidelines.
• Documents significant patient issues and adverse events; communicates with health care team; ensures compliance with policies.
