Job summary

Firman Solutions in the Bay Area seeks a Valeda Specialist, a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, to deliver and manage the Valeda Light Delivery System for retinal disease. You will work with physicians, clinical staff, and patients in a patient‑centered environment.

You will perform evaluations, educate patients, document in EMR, and travel between local practice locations as needed, collaborating with medical directors and maintaining HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Experience in ophthalmology, retina care, or related specialty preferred.
• EMR and practice management systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and determine eligibility for treatment.
• Administer Valeda Light Delivery System treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients on plans, outcomes, risks, benefits and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EMR and PM systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians on treatment plans and progress.
• Meet productivity, quality, and KPI standards.

As a Valeda Specialist, you will be at the forefront of innovative retinal disease treatment, utilizing advanced photo biomodulation technology. This is not a standard clinical role; it offers the opportunity to master a niche, non-invasive treatment modality while working collaboratively with top-tier medical directors in a supportive, patient-centric environment.

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to specialize in the delivery and management of the Valeda Light Delivery System. You will work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and patients to support the treatment of retinal diseases, ensuring exceptional patient experiences, seamless clinic operations, and strict adherence to clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and determine eligibility for specialized treatment protocols.
• Administer photo biomodulation treatments utilizing advanced light delivery systems.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, expected outcomes, risks, benefits, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation within the EMR and practice management systems.
• Ensure strict compliance with manufacturer guidelines, clinical protocols, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with physicians on treatment plans, patient progress, and clinical findings.
• Meet productivity, quality, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Experience in ophthalmology, retina care, or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR and practice management systems.
• Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve, evaluate compliance, and maintain constructive working relationships.
• Willingness to travel locally between practice locations as needed.
