The NP collaborates with physicians and healthcare staff, reviews patient screenings, and responds to contrast reactions per established protocols.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (or equivalent) in radiology, emergency, critical care or acute care.
• Experience recognizing and treating contrast reactions and responding to medical emergencies.
• Knowledge of contrast media administration, patient screening and safety protocols.

Summary/Objective

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for working closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to assess patient needs and provide direct care to patients. Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (or equivalent advanced practice provider), preferably in radiology, emergency, critical care or another acute-care setting.
• Experience recognizing and treating contrast reactions and responding to medical emergencies.
• Knowledge of contrast media administration, patient screening and safety protocols (including renal function and allergy risk assessment) preferred.
• Experience working in an outpatient or imaging environment preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) and Microsoft Office systems.

Education/Certifications:

• Current Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) certification.
• Current, unrestricted state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
