Role Description This full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner role is based in multiple locations in KY and focuses on delivering primary and preventive care to pediatric patients. The Nurse Practitioner will conduct patient assessments, perform routine exams, diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions, and prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and organizational protocols. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing individualized care plans, providing age-appropriate education to patients and families, and coordinating care with other members of the healthcare team. The role involves thorough documentation in the electronic health record, participation in case reviews and quality initiatives, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure safe, timely, and effective care. The Nurse Practitioner will also support vaccination programs, health screenings, and patient outreach efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Kentucky and national NP certification (e.g., PNP, FNP) with eligibility to prescribe medications.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in pediatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care, including experience with common childhood illnesses and chronic conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with children, adolescents, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, documentation standards, and basic computer applications used in clinical practice.
• Commitment to evidence-based care, patient safety, and quality improvement, including adherence to clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently on-site while collaborating effectively with supervising physicians and other clinicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program; prior pediatric or primary care experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification; PALS or equivalent pediatric emergency certification is an asset.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity in working with diverse patient populations and family structures.
