Job summary

Qualifications

• Active NJ NP or PA license.
• Minimum 5 years of direct clinical experience in musculoskeletal medicine (MSK) is highly valued.
• Strong background in orthopedics, MSK assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Ability to independently evaluate patients and manage treatment plans within scope.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations including histories, exams and MSK assessments.
• Independently assess, diagnose, and manage orthopedic/MSK patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on pain management, function and wellness.
• Triage patients based on clinical needs and acuity.
• Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and other health professionals.
• Educate patients about treatment options, injury prevention, rehab and long-term health.
• Support preoperative and postoperative patient care as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system.
• Promote preventive care and overall patient well-being.

This individual should be confident in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions while developing personalized treatment plans that support long-term recovery, mobility, and overall wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and musculoskeletal assessments.
• Independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on pain management, functional improvement, recovery, and overall wellness.
• Evaluate and triage patients based on clinical needs, severity, and acuity.
• Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Provide patient education regarding treatment options, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long‑term musculoskeletal health.
• Support preoperative and postoperative patient care when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow‑up care within the EMR system.
• Contribute to the practice's wellness‑focused approach by promoting preventive care and overall patient well‑being.

Qualifications & Experience

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct clinical experience in musculoskeletal medicine (MSK) required.
• Strong background in orthopedics, musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Comprehensive understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, and common orthopedic conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate patients, make clinical decisions, and manage treatment plans within the provider's scope of practice.
• Experience in pain management, sports medicine, physical medicine, or wellness‑focused care is a plus.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and patient relationship skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced clinical environment while delivering a high level of personalized care.
