Job summary

Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc., has an immediate opening for a full-time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Southeast Connecticut.

The APRN will collaborate with clinicians to deliver evidence-based behavioral health services across North Stonington and Groton, CT, with travel between sites. A nursing graduate degree and CT license are required; one year in mental health or substance abuse is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing with a current State of Connecticut license.
• Minimum of one year experience in mental health or substance abuse preferred.
• Commitment to client-centered care and compassionate practice.
• Strong communication with clients and interdisciplinary team.

Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adults in Southeast Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients. We accept private insurance, state-funded plans and self-pay arrangements.

Job Responsibilities:

The APRN will interface with an inter-disciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and mental health support staff to ensure that client centered, evidence-based, high quality behavioral health services are provided at Stonington Institute. The provider will travel between North Stonington and Groton.

Qualifications
