Job summary

Barrington James Limited is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a well-established clinical research organization in New York. You will support patient-focused trials across multiple therapeutic areas while upholding high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include evaluating potential participants, performing exams and assessments, ensuring protocol and SOP adherence, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical and/or research experience.
• Clinical research experience preferred but strong clinical background acceptable.

Job description

A well-established clinical research organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their growing research team. This role supports patient-focused clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas, helping bring new treatments to patients while maintaining the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate potential study participants and determine trial eligibility
• Perform physical examinations and study-related assessments
• Ensure compliance with study protocols, sponsor requirements, and internal SOPs
• Collaborate with Sponsors, Study Monitors, and Medical Monitors
• Complete required sponsor training and attend investigator meetings as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical and/or research experience
• Clinical research experience preferred, but candidates with strong clinical backgrounds and a willingness to learn research processes are welcome
• Preferably experience in Psychiatry, CNS or Metabolism
