Job summary

SpineSearch LLC partners with a leading NYC hospital system to recruit a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dynamic academic orthopedic practice.

This role provides outpatient pediatric orthopedic and musculoskeletal care, evaluating new, follow-up, and postoperative patients, and coordinating non-operative treatments.

Ideal candidates have pediatric orthopedic experience, a Master’s in Nursing, and 3+ years of nursing or related practice.

Qualifications

• Pediatric orthopedic experience preferred.
• NP or PA with strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing or related clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pediatric orthopedic care and musculoskeletal management.
• Evaluate new, follow‑up, and postoperative patients.
• Collaborate with surgeons, fellows, residents, nurses, therapists, and other teams.
• Coordinate non‑operative treatment including PT, rehabilitation, and imaging.
• Deliver postoperative wound checks, casting/bracing, and family education.
• Participate in inpatient rounding as assigned.
• Document in EPIC and assist in care coordination.
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical research, or new services.

The Opportunity:

• Pediatric orthopedic and musculoskeletal patient care in an outpatient setting
• Evaluate and treat new, follow‑up, and postoperative patients
• Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, fellows, residents, nurses, therapists, and other multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinate non‑operative treatment, including PT, rehabilitation, bracing, imaging, and pain management
• Provide postoperative care, including wound checks, casting/bracing, and patient/family education
• Participate in inpatient rounding as assigned
• Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation, orders, and care coordination
