Job summary

NeueHealth in South Florida is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide advanced primary care within a 100% outpatient setting. You will diagnose, prescribe, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient-centered care.

The role requires Florida licensure, national board certification, and 2+ years of clinical experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is required; Telehealth and a Monday–Friday schedule are available at some clinics.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Florida.
• Board certification in applicable specialty preferred.
• National board certification required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or PA program completed; DNP preferred for NPs.
• Two+ years clinical experience in a physician practice, clinic, or hospital.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality of all patient records.
• Advises patients regarding prescriptions and treatment plans.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
• Works with a team of clinicians to provide holistic patient care.

JOB SUMMARY

The APP role involves providing advanced healthcare services, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient-centered care. With expertise in primary and specialty care, Nurse Practitioners play a vital role in improving health outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for patients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains confidentiality of all patient records.
• Checks in with clients about test results and prognoses.
• Advises patients regarding prescriptions and treatment plans.
• Follows all federal, state, and nursing guidelines, regulations, and standards.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, including x-rays, blood work, and scans.
• Refers patients to specialists if necessary and analyzes medical records and reports.
• Updates patient charts and uploads to Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
• Works with a team of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and doctors to provide quality patient care.
• Examines patients, including discussing medical history and symptoms and performing physicals.
• Knows how to use popular tools, including: medical database software, medical research software, medical diagnosis software, medical billing software, e‑prescribing software, scheduling software and billing software.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Current Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse/ or Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Florida.
• Board certification in the applicable specialty as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is preferred.
• National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited certifying agency is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioners) or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program (for Physician Assistants) is required; Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred for Nurse Practitioner candidates.
• Two or more years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a physician practice, clinic, or hospital setting is required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Communicates effectively, speaking multiple languages is preferred.
• Collaborates with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals.
• Problem-solves well independently and as part of a team.
• Develops strong relationships with patients and their families and has a stellar bedside manner.
