Job summary

National Institute of Clinical Research in Los Angeles is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to apply clinical expertise in an innovative, research-driven environment, blending patient care with research oversight.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of acute care NP experience. Training is provided on study protocols and regulatory compliance; you will deliver high-touch patient assessments and safety. In-person role in LA with flexible per diem/part-time options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NP experience in acute care.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation.
• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Active California NP license (FNP required).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Ability to commute to Los Angeles (in-person role).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical exams and review patient medical histories
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide patient education and health coaching to patients and families
• Perform minor procedures (suturing, wound care, etc.)
• Administer vaccinations and immunizations
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on urgency
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
