Role Description This full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner role is based in Frederick, MD and supports the delivery of high-quality cardiovascular care. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, obtaining detailed histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests related to cardiovascular conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications where permitted, provide education on disease management and lifestyle modification, and coordinate follow-up care. The role involves close collaboration with cardiologists and other clinical staff, documentation in the electronic health record, participation in care team meetings, and adherence to practice protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Nurse Practitioner also helps triage patient concerns, supports continuity of care, and contributes to ongoing improvement of practice workflows and patient experience.
