Job summary

Columbus Regional Health in Columbus, Indiana, is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner to join the OB/GYN team. You will provide outpatient care, Well-woman exams, OB returns, and gynecologic problem management, while collaborating with physicians and using EPIC for documentation.

The role supports a Baby-Friendly Birthing Center with a focus on patient-centered care and a Monday–Friday schedule 8 am–4:30 pm, no on‑call, and strong team support including two NPs and

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified NP with OB/GYN experience is preferred.
• Outpatient clinical responsibilities including exams, OB returns, and GYN concerns.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient OB/GYN care and Well-woman exams.
• Manage OB returns, GYN problems, referrals, IUD insertions and postpartum visits.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinic team in a supportive capacity.

The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative designated Birthing Center at Columbus Regional Health provides a full range of baby delivery services welcoming over 1,200 babies each year. Each LDRP room boasts state-of the-art equipment and is on the same level as a designated C-Section OR suite. The Birthing Center offers two levels of nursery care and includes a physician lounge equipped with a screen for fetal monitoring of each patient.

Opportunity Highlights

Anticipated Work Schedule & Support:

• 8 am to 4:30 pm M-F
• No Call Schedule
• 2 NP’s, 2 Sonographers, & a phlebotomist provide Clinic support
• Types of Outpatient Visits: Well-woman exams, OB returns, GYN problems (bleeding, vaginitis, breast lumps, pain, and postpartum depression), referrals from outside providers, IUD insertions, IUD follow-ups, Nexplanon insertion, and post-partum visits.

Special Skills/Procedures Required

Experienced nurse practitioner who has collaborated with an OBGYN physician in a previous role. The nurse practitioner will have their own panel of patients but will also work as an extender to the physicians of the practice. Women's health and EPIC experience are a plus but not a requirement. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. This position is regularly required to stand, frequently required to walk and push or pull, occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and smell and must frequently lift and/or move greater than 50lbs.
