Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our skilled nursing team in Clinton, IL. The weekend schedule is required, with opportunities for mentorship and ongoing education to support your growth in post-acute care.

You will diagnose, treat, and guide patients to better health as a key clinical provider, collaborating with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• NP license required or eligibility.
• Current DEA registration or willingness to obtain before start date.
• All experience levels welcome – training provided.
• Interest in geriatrics, internal medicine or primary care.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and review medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging).
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and create treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and prevention.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

As a Certified NP, you will be a key clinical provider in a skilled nursing facility, diagnosing, treating, and guiding patients to better health. No two days are the same!

Your daily responsibilities include:

• Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.
