Job summary

Access Health Louisiana in Bogalusa, LA seeks a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide patient care through diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in collaboration with physicians and the nursing team.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Nurse Practitioner provides patient care services by independently and interdependently scheduling, supervising, and/or conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; independently participates in the delivery of direct patient care within the scope of authority granted by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and following the AHL protocols and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Must possess a Master’s degree with a concentration in the respective advanced practice nursing specialty from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a certification by a nationally recognized certifying body. An RN holding a current, unencumbered, unrestricted, and valid license to practice professional nursing who was previously recognized by the LA State Board of Nursing as an advanced practitioner of nursing on or before December 31, 1995 (as per Act 633 of 1995) will substitute for certification by a nationally
• Current CPR certification required.

Experience

• At least one year of experience in advanced practice nursing.

Knowledge of scope of practice

• Ability to move to exam rooms and workspaces.
• Operates office and medical equipment.
• OSHA Category I: Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue.
