Texas NeuroRehab Center, a long-standing rehabilitation facility near downtown Austin, seeks a PRN Nurse Practitioner to work on-call with the treatment team. You will provide medical management, patient assessments, and crisis oversight, contributing to a therapeutic milieu for teens and adults.
You will document care, coordinate with staff and families, and help educate the team. Must be Texas-licensed APRN with experience in psychiatric and medical rehab settings.

The Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Provide medical management and assessment of patients. Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population. Provide training & education to staff, patients, families, & others. Document patient care, ensure that data is accurate, & that it is included in the master treatment plan. Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.

Knowledge of substance abuse and psychiatric patient services. Professional verbal and written skills needed for communicating the patient status, and treatment needs to payers, families, professionals, paraprofessional employees of the hospital, and members of the patient's community. Able to maintain professional records and patient confidentiality and ability to maintain professional relationships with staff and patients. Knowledge of Special Treatment Procedures. Able to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation.
Bachelor's degree in the humanities with 3 years of experience or Master's degree with one year of experience.
Current Driver’s License or State issued Id. Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas and credentialed by the State to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Three years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
