HealthDrive is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to work part-time (2 days/week) in nursing facilities in Athol, MA. This role focuses on psychiatric med-management for residents in long-term care settings, with daily travel to assigned facilities.

The position offers formal autonomy, a stable patient base, malpractice coverage, and administrative support. It features a prorated base pay starting at $52k+ per year, with flexible schedules and no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• State Professional Nurse Practitioner license.
• Board Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently daily; excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric med-management services to residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and long-term care within an assigned territory.
• Monitor medication effectiveness, response, and side effects.
• Inform residents about potential side effects of psychiatric medications.
• Recommend initiation of appropriate psychiatric medications.
• Complete AIMS testing every three months for residents on antipsychotics.
• Monitor tapering of psychiatric medications per federal regulations.
• Recommend behavioral interventions to nursing staff; develop behavior plans as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities as part of the mobile model.
