American Physiatry in Arlington, VA is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this in-person role, you will work closely with physical therapy to focus on pain control, function, and rehabilitation in skilled nursing facilities.

You will conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, manage medications, educate families, and monitor progress under a Physiatrist supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner with Virginia certification.
• Experience working independently while effectively managing your own caseload.
• Submit accurate and thorough clinical documentation promptly, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying and managing medical conditions under the supervision of a Physiatrist.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, focusing on function and rehabilitation to improve patients' quality of life.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care, including medication management and therapy recommendations.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, health maintenance, and preventive care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
