We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner / APNP for a contract opportunity in Portage, Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity for an NP with a strong primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, or similar clinical background who is looking for a consistent weekday schedule and competitive compensation.
You’ll provide clinic-based healthcare services within a structured correctional healthcare environment. Previous correctional experience is NOT required.
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Wednesdays off
Pay:
Local: $105/hr
Traveler: $108/hr
1099 Independent Contractor: $120/hr
Training:
The first week of training will take place at Racine Correctional Institution, 2019 Wisconsin Street, Sturtevant, WI 53177. The regular assignment is in Portage, WI.
Candidates must have a current Wisconsin APNP license and Wisconsin RN license, current DEA registration, valid NPI, and AHA BLS certification. Candidates must also be enrolled as a Wisconsin Medicaid provider and have at least 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in the applicable specialty.
A background in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, community health, FQHC, urgent care, or correctional healthcare is highly relevant. Again, correctional experience is not required.
Candidates must be able to successfully complete required background/facility clearance and drug screening and have clear SAM/OIG results.
This position offers a four-day workweek, weekday daytime hours, no Wednesday shift, competitive rates up to $120/hour, and an opportunity to use your existing primary-care skills in a structured clinical environment.
