Genesis Healthcare is seeking an experienced LPN Staff Development Coordinator to lead nursing orientation, ongoing education, and competency assessment for licensed staff and CNAs. The role includes developing education calendars, implementing infection control and employee health programs, and supporting new hire onboarding.

The ideal candidate holds an LPN license, can coordinate flexible hours, and has prior long-term care experience to ensure high-quality resident care and staff development

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Nurse orientation.
• Nurse education.
• Competencies evaluation and maintenance for licensed staff (excluding RNs).
• Infection control (including employee health).
• Clinical PCC implementation.
• Identify nursing staff learning needs and develop programs to address and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Support new hire orientation by providing safety training for all employees and department-specific orientation for nursing staff.
• Oversee nursing orientation and mentoring for all licensed staff and CNAs.
• Develop annual nursing education calendar including mandatory in-services.
• Assist in evaluating performance of new nursing personnel and conduct competency testing.
• Oversee Infection Control and Employee Health programs.

Must Have 1 Year Of Long Term Care Experience

Responsibilities

• Oversees the nursing center's Infection Control and Employee Health programs.
