Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Cardiovascular RN is responsible to ensure patient safety during the Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology/Neuro Interventional Radiology/ procedures. The RN is responsible for maintaining communication with the physician and charge/or manager to keep the flow throughout the day. The RN is responsible for staying abreast of the changes to department and industry standards. The RN is responsible for filtering this information to the procedural staff members. On call requirement with a 30-minute response time.

Department Procedures Include But Are Not Limited To

Coronary angiogram/angioplasty
Peripheral angiogram/angioplasty
Neuro interventional angiogram/angioplasty
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) and Thoracic vessel repair
Neuro Coronary Peripheral Pulmonary Thrombectomy
Central/Port placement and removal
Electrophysiology procedures including Ablation
Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) procedures
Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
Cardioversion
Stress Tests

Required Qualifications

What It Takes to be Successful

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
All External Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Graduate of an accredited RN program, and possess a current California RN license
Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS.
A minimum of 1-year acute care experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology.
Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language.
Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served; 12 Lead EKG interpretations required; Annual Update, Education assignments; Completion of all teaching assignments provided for professional enhancement.
