Job summary

Wilson Elser in Houston is seeking a full-time Nurse Paralegal to join our growing litigation team. This role analyzes medical records, builds chronologies, and prepares materials for expert review in a fast-paced national firm.

The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule and opportunities for training in proprietary systems, with a focus on strong written communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN and Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Nurse Paralegal or Legal Nurse Consultant experience preferred; paralegal training will be provided if needed.
• Ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases.
• Strong written communication skills, including business writing and grammar.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and a team player.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and client needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and summarize medical records
• Create medical chronologies and narrative summaries of medical records
• Create billing record summaries in Excel
• Determine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review
• Conduct investigative research on expert witnesses
