Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health in Canton, OH seeks a registered nurse to perform nursing assessments, health screenings and medication administration within our mental health and substance use services program.

You will educate individuals and families, participate in treatment teams, respond to crises, and maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality while supporting a compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing assessments, health screenings and med administration are required.
• Provide health education to individuals and families.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Complete RPR, TB and Hep C testing.
• Monitor and document symptoms and changes in conditions.
• Provide education to individuals, staff and family.
• Attend case staffing and treatment team meetings.
• Intervene, stabilize and manage acute crises as needed.
• Assist in training co-staff in service areas.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
• Maintain stock of supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Nurse is responsible for nursing assessments, health screening, medication administration, health education and other nursing duties as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess individuals with health problems of mental health/substance use challenges and needs with completion of nursing assessments and development of nursing care plans.
• Completes RPR, TB and Hep C testing for individuals attending the program.
• Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in conditions by observation using proper nursing care
• Provides education to individuals, staff and family.
• Attends case staffing/treatment team meetings as directed by supervisor.
• Intervenes, stabilizes and manages acute crisis situations as needed.
• Assists in training co-staff in areas relating to service specialties as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality for all indirect/direct service in accordance with agency policies and HIPAA policies.
• Maintains stock of supplies
• Other duties as assigned.
