Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Mercy Gilbert Women’s and Children’s Pavilion is seeking a Postpartum Nurse to guide families through the postpartum journey, providing compassionate care for mothers and newborns.

You will monitor maternal and neonatal vitals, educate families on postpartum care, collaborate with physicians and lactation consultants, and advocate for patient-centered outcomes while embracing teamwork and continuous growth.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse licensed in Arizona.
• American Heart Association certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for new mothers and their newborns.
• Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs, identify potential complications, and intervene promptly to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care, promoting health, wellness, and empowerment.
• Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, value-driven care.
• Support the emotional well-being of mothers and families, embodying compassion, dignity, and patient advocacy in every encounter.
• Advocate for patients while fostering a culture of teamwork, trust, and ethical care that reflects Dignity Health's vision and guiding principles.
