Qualifications

• Completion of undergraduate and graduate nursing education from an accredited school of nursing at the master’s or doctoral level – Midwifery required
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio; Ohio Certificate of Authority as a Nurse Midwife (COA)
• National Certification as a Nurse Midwife; Current CPR certification
• Five years clinical experience with three years in area of specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Midwife provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex health problems for individuals, families and communities.
• Acts as a leader, innovator and change agent to pursue excellence in nursing practice and patient care.
• Functions as practitioner, educator, consultant and researcher, incorporating outcomes management and informatics into work.
