Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a Certified Nurse-Midwife to provide comprehensive maternity care within a collaborative team. The role includes direct supervision and management of selected patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, neonatal, and well-woman phases.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Michigan.
• Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwives.
• Certified to practice nurse midwifery in the State of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership in patient care as a primary nurse midwife.
• Serves as a resource person to other health professionals and community partners.
• Interprets nurse midwifery practice to allied health professionals and the community.
• Improves nursing practice through clinical education, research, and the nursing process.
• Under collaborative medical direction, assumes supervision and management of selected patients throughout maternity care (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, neonatal, family planning and well-woman care).
