The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead and coordinate day-to-day operations in a patient care unit. The role requires strong nursing leadership, staff supervision, and budget oversight to ensure safe, efficient care.
Minimum qualifications include a BSN and an MSN or related field within five years, plus at least three years of RN experience. Licensure as a Virginia RN with BLS and a valid VA driver’s license for multi-location responsibilities is
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program; Master’s degree in a related field within five years of hire.
Experience: At least three years of progressively more responsible experience as a registered nurse in a patient care environment.
For Dialysis Nurse Manager: Full‑time employee of the facility; at least 12 months of experience in clinical nursing, plus an additional six months of experience providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.
Licensure: Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia; American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification; valid Virginia driver’s license required for managers with responsibility for operations in multiple locations; applicable specialty certification at hire or within three years.
The pay range for this role is $110,697.60 – $147,680.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, prior work experience, and/or education.
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling a short distance to attend meetings and programs.
