You will lead 2 North, a 31-bed adult medical-surgical and telemetry unit at Milton Hospital. The unit cares for a diverse patient population, including individuals with complex medical conditions and those recovering from surgery. As Nurse Manager, you will provide clinical, operational, and administrative leadership for 2 North, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. You will oversee daily operations, staffing, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance while fostering a positive and engaged team culture. Partnering with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary colleagues, you’ll use data-driven decision-making to improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and support an exceptional patient and family experience.
Systematically assesses the health status of each patient.
Delivers patient education tailored to the individual's condition, comprehension level, and readiness to learn.
Integrates cultural competence by considering patients' specific beliefs and practices in all aspects of care delivery.
Collaborates and communicates effectively with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to promote continuity and coordination of care.
Provides care appropriate to the developmental and age-specific needs of the patient population regularly served; proactively seeks consultation for populations outside of this scope.
Performs all duties of a registered nurse
Employee maintains competencies (position specific and hospital-wide) required for the specific patient population served.
Performs all duties in accordance with safety and other laws, rules, and regulations set forth by appropriate regulatory and government agencies and in accordance with established department and hospital policies and procedures.
Participates in formulating the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Division.
May be required to perform similar or related duties as may be necessary on an emergency basis or as designated by the department director or supervisor.

Employees will be oriented to and required to understand and follow the standard precautions for infection control.
