Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Nurse Manager Med Surg Telemetry to lead daily operations, ensure safe, high-quality patient care, and drive nursing practice improvements. You will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with physicians, and coordinate interdisciplinary care to meet patient safety and service excellence goals.

The role requires RN licensure, a nursing diploma or ASN, and BSN preferred, with strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
• Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and delivery of safe, quality, patient care for assigned departments on a 24 hour basis.
• Ensure department's nursing practice standards and procedures meet legal, accrediting and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care through an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
• Collaborate and share pertinent patient information with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Develop and implement ongoing programs to measure, monitor, assess and improve quality of nursing care delivered to patients, aiming for hospital-wide improvement in core measures and patient safety.
• Coordinate the patient's care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.

We are seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Manager. You will provide leadership and expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a medical surgical environment.
