Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse Manager to provide leadership and oversight for a 350-bed facility. You will ensure safe, high-quality care around the clock, align nursing practice with policies and regulatory standards, and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes program development, quality improvement, and collaboration to achieve patient safety and service excellence across units.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
• Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal skills; PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and take responsibility for the delivery of safe, quality, patient care for assigned departments on a 24 hour basis.
• Ensure department's nursing practice standards, policies and procedures meet legal and accrediting/regulatory requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care through an interdisciplinary team approach.
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, and staff regarding patient progress and treatment.
• Develop and implement programs to measure, monitor, assess and improve nursing care quality and safety.
• Coordinate patient care with other hospital services and departments.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Manager. You will provide leadership and expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a medical surgical environment. Your tasks and duties include:

• You will provide leadership, take responsibility for the delivery of safe, quality, patient care for assigned departments on a 24 hour basis.


• You will ensure department's standard of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures meet legal, and all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.


• You will ensure continuity of care through use of interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.


• You will collaborate and share pertinent patient information with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient progress, and treatment.


• You will develop and implement ongoing programs to measure, monitor, asses and improve quality of nursing care delivered to patients, working toward hospital-wide improvement in meeting core measure, patient safety, and service excellence goals in assigned units.


• You will ensure the effective coordination of the patient's care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations
