Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to provide high-quality nursing care with 24/7 accountability for the assigned unit(s). You will lead daily operations, supervise frontline staff, and drive interprofessional collaboration to improve patient experiences and outcomes.

The role requires a BSN, 3+ years as an RN with leadership experience, and ability to adapt to changing patient needs while maintaining a strong focus on teamwork and quality. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Three (3) years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Nursing leadership experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with strong teamwork and commitment to quality care.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care and goals relating to patient care, quality and initiatives.
• Manages day-to-day operations and ensures staff know emergency/disaster response policies.
• Monitors standards to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Manages budgetary and financial priorities for the service line including payroll and scheduling.
• Promotes cost effective use of resources and supports financial objectives while managing acuity workload and equipment.
• Demonstrates leadership by effective communication, coaching and mentoring of team members.
• Supervises training programs and supports education with the Department of Education.
• Supports Magnet Program Director and Magnet program with governance, data collection and exemplars.
• Leads and participates in committees with performance improvement goals.
• Reviews complaints and opportunities for improvement with timely follow up.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
