Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks an experienced Nurse Manager for Critical Care – MICU to lead clinical teams, drive quality and patient safety, and foster a high-performance culture.

You will collaborate with nursing leadership, recruit and mentor staff, and uphold the Mission Health Guiding Principles in a fast-paced tertiary setting.

This role requires BSN or equivalent, NC RN licensure, and national certification within one year, with a focus on exceptional critical care leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN) required.
• National Certification in area of specialty within 1 year of acceptance.
• Current RN licensure in NC; eNLC license may apply.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience; 2 years in leadership.

What qualifications you will need:

Required Education: BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN)

Preferred Education: Masters Degree in Nursing.

Required License/ Certifications

• Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
• National Certification in area of specialty within one year of accepting the role. Certification may be in leadership or area of clinical practice. Those actively pursuing degree must obtain national certification within 1 year of graduation.
• BLS Healthcare Provider

Required Experience

A minimum of five years of recent nursing experience; 2 years in relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills
