Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• 5+ years RN experience.
• 5+ years psychiatric/behavioral health clinical experience.
• 2+ years leadership/management experience.
• Experience managing a psychiatric unit within a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality improvement methodologies (CQI, RCA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of an inpatient behavioral health unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with Director-level leadership on clinical strategy, operational planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, OMH, DOHMH, JCAHO, and other regulatory and accreditation standards, including survey readiness.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow while monitoring outcomes and quality metrics.
• Lead staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, and data-driven reporting to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Position Summary

A leading hospital system in Brooklyn is seeking a Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health to oversee inpatient psychiatric services. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to manage unit operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive clinical excellence.

Key Duties

• Oversee daily operations of an inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with Director-level leadership on clinical strategy, operational planning, and performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, OMH, DOHMH, JCAHO, and other regulatory and accreditation standards, including survey readiness
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow while monitoring outcomes and quality metrics
• Lead staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, and data-driven reporting to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
