Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Nurse Manager for the 5 South Telemetry/ICU, a full-time 8-hour day exempt role based in Glendale, CA. The ideal candidate leads clinical and operational initiatives, supports the CNO and department leaders, and ensures delivery of safe, high-quality care with staff development and continuous improvement.

Minimum 3+ years acute care experience with 1+ year in unit supervision; California RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS within 30 days; PALS and NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in California required/active.
• BLs, ACLS, NIHSS within 30 days of hire; PALS and NRP are advantageous.
• 3+ years of clinical acute-care experience; 1+ year in unit supervision or charge nurse role.

The Nurse Manager is a proven leader in both clinical and operational areas with an emphasis on the operational environment. This individual supports the Chief Nursing Officer and department manager and director in providing, oversight and delivery of safe, high quality patient care; development of staff team; quality improvement and growth of unit services; leadership in organizational planning and collaboration; management of efficient services with meaningful and valuable outcomes. Practices in compliance with regulatory requirements including CMS Conditions of Participation, Title 22, CDPH regulations, DNV-GL/NIAHO standards, etc.

Minimum Education: Graduation from Registered Nurse Program BSN desired (if not upon hire, will obtain within 5 years preferred) Master’s preferred Completion of unit supervisor or management training program preferred

Minimum Experience/Knowledge: 3 + years of clinical experience in Acute Setting preferred 1+ year(s) Unit Supervisor or Charge Nurse experience preferred

Required License/Certification: California Registered Nurse License Certification in clinical specialty or management desired ICU/ 5S: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (within 30 days of hire) BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP must be AHA certified. All certifications must be active effective date of hire/transfer unless otherwise indicated.

The salary range for this position is $145,000 to $192,000.
