Job summary

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) in Malvern, PA seeks a Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team in an acute inpatient psychiatric program for children and adolescents. Qualifications

• BSN and RN license in PA; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3 years nursing experience in healthcare, supervisory experience required.
• Proficient with computers, MS Office and data collection/analysis platforms; strong organization and communication.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Act as a liaison and communicate with the psychiatric, medical and treatment teams.
• Manage the center's nursing activities to assure the highest quality of nursing services.

Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC), located in Malvern, PA provides programs and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis within a safe and compassionate inpatient environment. Our Nurse Manager supervises the direct nursing staff, and daily operations of the nursing team within the program.

Every day as a Nurse Manager you will...

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a valid license to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in theCommonwealth of Pennsylvania required. Master’s degree preferred

Experience Required: Three years (3) of nursing experience in a health care facility, preferably working with children and adolescents withdevelopmental disabilities and/or psychiatric illnesses. One year (1)of supervisory experience required. Proficient computer skills,mastery of Microsoft Office applications and data collecting/analyzing platforms. Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task, to maximizeefficiency. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Valid driver's license must be maintained.
