Job summary

Symetria Recovery in Texas seeks a licensed LVN/LPN/RN to join our outpatient MAT-focused team. You will dispense medications, monitor patients, and support care from nursing leadership to ensure safe, effective treatment.

The role involves handling prescriptions, patient education, and coordinating with medical staff in a fast-paced clinic. Typical hours are 5:30am-2pm Monday through Friday with alternating Saturday mornings; full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid LVN, LPN, or RN license with no restrictions and licensed within the state of Texas.
• 1+ year experience as LVN/LPN/RN required
• Experience dispensing, handling, ordering, and stocking medications
• Experience working as LVN/LPN/RN in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health setting preferred
• Experience using KIPU or other EMR
• Knowledge of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders preferred
• Knowledge of recovery process and terminology preferred
• Full time position (40 hours per week) - 5:30am-2pm with alternating Saturday mornings; hours may vary per clinic

Responsibilities

• Provide a leading role in treatment decisions by working closely with the Director of Nursing, Medical Provider, clinical staff, and Program Director.
• Dispense medications and ensure appropriate medical care for patients in recovery.
• Interact daily with patients to provide support and improve health and well-being.
• Monitor patients' vital signs for dose changes and maintain accurate records.
• Collect blood samples and address physical needs of patients.
• Administer injectable medications, manage dosages, educate on side effects, and obtain pre-authorization as needed.
• Administer and read tests (PPD, pregnancy, TB, drug screens) and document results.
• Maintain inventory of medicines and reconcile inventory at dosing conclusion; ensure replacements are ordered timely.
• Follow all policies, state regulations, federal guidelines, and DEA regulations.
• Perform duties per work schedule and as assigned.
