Job summary

Symetria Recovery is seeking a licensed LVN/LPN or RN in Texas to join our outpatient MAT-focused team. The role involves dispensing medications, patient monitoring, and close collaboration with the clinical leadership to ensure high-quality care in a licensed OTP setting.

You will interact daily with patients, manage vitals, document treatment data, and uphold DEA and state regulations. This is a full-time position with a 5:30am–2pm shift and rotating Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid LVN, LPN, or RN license in Texas.
• At least 1 year of LVN/LPN/RN experience.
• Experience dispensing, handling, ordering, and stocking medications.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems such as KIPU.
• Knowledge of addiction and co-occurring disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications and ensure appropriate medical care.
• Collaborate with nursing director and medical provider on treatment decisions.
• Interact daily with patients to provide support and monitor health.

Who We Are:

Symetria Recovery is the #1 outpatient rehab in Illinois and Texas. It started with three simple, yet game-changing core beliefs: Addiction is a disease; co-occurring mental health conditions should be addressed, and patients deserve respect, not judgement. Symetria Recovery provides comprehensive substance abuse treatment with a focus on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in a welcoming outpatient setting. Unlimited clinical services are available to our patients under our bundled-service delivery model. Key services delivered through our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) licensure include MAT, medically monitored psychiatric care, individual therapy, group therapy (IOP), 6-day-per-week nursing care, and ongoing aftercare. Most of our patients being provided medication receive Buprenorphine products, but they can also receive Methadone, and any other FDA-approved medication for addiction.

What You Will Do:

• Provide a leading role in treatment decisions by working closely with the Director of Nursing, Medical Provider, clinical staff, and Program Director.
• Responsible for dispensing medications and ensuring the appropriate medical care is administered for patients in recovery.
• Daily interactions with patients to provide support while assisting to improve their health and well-being.
• Monitors patient’s vital signs for dose changes and other physical health information, maintains accurate records reflecting data, including general information relating to treatment results.
• Collects blood samples from patients and monitors and attends to the physical needs of the patient.
• Administers injectable medications, ensuring accurate prescribed dosage and timely delivery, educating clients in management of side effects, and obtaining pre-authorization of prescriptions/medications from pharmacy, when needed.
• Administers and reads PPD, pregnancy tests, tuberculosis screening tests, and drug screens on patients and documents results.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts of all medicines and medical supplies and ensures adequate replacements are ordered on a timely basis, as well as reconciling inventory of Methadone, Suboxone, and Subutex and any other medications at conclusion of dosing.
• Follows all Symetria policies, state regulations, federal guidelines, and DEA regulations.
• Employee is expected to perform all duties in accordance to work schedule and as assigned.

Who You Are:

• Must have a current and valid LVN, LPN, or RN license with no restrictions and licensed within the state of Texas.
• 1-year+ experience as an LVN, LPN, or RN required
• Experience dispensing, handling, ordering, and stocking medications
• Experience working as an LVN, LPN, or RN in a substance abuse treatment (preferably MAT) or behavioral health setting preferred
• Experience using KIPU or other EMR
• Knowledge of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders preferred
• Knowledge of recovery process and terminology preferred
• Full time position (40 hours per week) - Monday-Friday 5:30am-2pm and alternating Saturday mornings (6:30am-9am). Hours may vary per clinic.

Compensation for this position is based on market analysis and will be determined by additional factors such as location/state, skills, years of experience, relevant credentials, and education. The posted compensation range for this role is $27.00 to $30.00 per hour.
