Job summary

Doverwood is seeking a charge nurse leader to provide direct care and oversee nurse aides in a state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility. You will ensure high-quality care delivery on nursing units and meet resident and family needs during the care process.

The role offers full-time, part-time, and PRN day/night positions, with hourly base rates of $28.00 to $32.00 and additional shift differentials for evenings and weekends, plus daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the state where practicing.
• Maintains licensure and CPR certification.
• Desire to work with elderly and interact with residents, staff and families.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow up when patient situations require.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to patients on the unit.
• Assists in total patient care and unit management.
• Carries out admin and patient care duties as directed by leadership.
• supervises nurse associates and ensures policies are followed.
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Instructs and observes care per physician/standard of practice.

Facility is currently looking for Full Time, Part Time and PRN Day & Night Positions. Come join our team as a charge nurse leader at our state of the art, skilled nursing facility. This position provides direct care to the patients in the facility and provides direct oversight to the nurse aides. Ensures and promotes excellent care delivery on the nursing care units. The position ensures the needs of the residents, resident families and nursing aides are met during the care delivery process.

$28.00 to $32.00 Hourly Base Rates based on LPN credentials. On top of those great base rates we offer additional shift differentials for evening and weekend shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the responsibility for the total patient care within the nursing unit, and the management of the unit.
• Provides direct nursing care to the patients
• Carries out administrative and patient care duties as directed by the ADON or DON
• Supervises and assumes responsibility for the actions and care delivered by the nurse associates including monitoring and responding to all policies and procedures regarding such duties.
• Administers medication and treatment per the Physician orders specific to the patient.
• Instructs and observes care is implemented per the physician/clinician or based on standard of practice
• Assist and direct in the admission/discharge process of patients

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have a current license in the state in which he/she is practicing.
• Maintains Licensure (completes CE requirements) and CPR certification
• Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.
• Possesses good organizational skills and follow-up when patient situations require.
