Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is offering a Director of Nursing in Training (DIT) program at Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Brenham, TX. The program provides on-the-job training while employed as a Registered Nurse and/or a DON in Training position under a DON in Training to develop skills for resident quality care.

Responsibilities include coordinating nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications

• RN licence required.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Must reside in Texas and be able to relocate if needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee plans of care to meet each resident's needs.
• Oversee and coordinate nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Stay current with state and federal regulations affecting resident care.
• Communicate with attending physicians and medical director about resident care issues.
• Ensure provision of medications, treatments and nursing services per care plans.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training to facility staff and mentors to new DON/DITs.
• Review QA reports and regulatory documentation and provide feedback on POC implementations.
• Attend QAPI meetings and engage with facility leadership on quality initiatives.
