Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives in Omaha is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care and support patient recovery in a dynamic hospital environment.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement and adjust individualized care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. CNOR/IR/ICU experience and ACLS readiness are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse: NE license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 5 months.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
  • Assess data across psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors.
  • Plan measurable short- and long-term goals with the healthcare consumer and team.
  • Implement and modify the care plan with coordination, education and discharge planning.
  • Evaluate progress and revise the plan as needed with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Document all phases of the nursing process in the patient record.

  • Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
  • Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors
  • Plan – Sets measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team.
  • Implement – Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice. This includes care coordination, education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed.
  • Evaluate – Uses a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals. Revision of plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Documents all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer\'s record.
Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Registered Nurse: NE
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - within 5 months

Preferred:

  • 12-18 months of RN experience
  • Highly preferred IR, Cath Lab, ICU, or PACU experience (hemodynamic monitoring , advanced airways, vents, critical care drips, IV pressers, and ACLS related drugs)
  • Specialty certification (ex: CCRN, CNOR, CEN)

Pay Range

$36.00 - $52.20 /hour
