Job summary

Franciscan Health Dyer Campus in Dyer, Indiana invites student nurses enrolled in ASN/BSN programs to join their Nurse Internship program. Interns work under a Registered Nurse and gain hands-on patient care experience, learning to observe, respond, and document effectively.

The program provides tuition assistance for the last three semesters of your program and pays for 8-12 hours per month on the unit, under supervision, with a strong emphasis on safe, compassionate care and professional

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an ASN or BSN program.
• Completed at least one ASN semester or two BSN semesters.
• Must have 2-3 semesters left of school.
• Maintain good standing in program.
• Provide AHA BLS certification.
• Submit two letters of recommendation (one from clinical instructor).
• Provide a professional statement of interest.
• Submit an unofficial transcript.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Learn to recognize signs and symptoms and respond with compassion.
• Develop clinical reasoning and basic nursing practice while transitioning to professional practice.
