Job summary

MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute—Old Brooklyn is seeking a Nurse Intern for the Neuro Trauma Recovery Stroke Unit, 5N. The role supports stroke rehabilitation through neurological assessments, ADLs, transfers, and vital signs documentation under supervision.

Enrolled nursing students in good standing will work with RNs, LPNs, PCNAs, and therapists across a multidisciplinary team. The internship offers exposure to inpatient neurological care and aggressive learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Completed fundamentals of nursing.
• Currently registered in clinical rotations.
• Continuous enrollment in nursing program.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in stroke rehabilitation unit under supervision of RNs and LPNs.
• Perform vital signs, IVs, Foley catheter care, wound care as directed.
• Collaborate with RNs, PCNAs, therapists, and social workers to support patient care.
